TxDOT plans public meeting on South Loop bridge replacement project

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - TxDOT is planning a major project on a South Loop bridge and wants to meet with the public about it first.

The department says the bridges over Slide Road have reached their lifespan.

TxDOT will host a public meeting about plans to replace the bridges on Thursday. The public is invited to ask questions or provide feedback about the project.

The open-house style meeting is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the TxDOT Training Center off I-27 and Slaton Road.

TxDOT will also post a presentation about the plans online and take comments through July 13.
