An honor guard escorted fallen first responders Eric Hill and Nicholas Reyna Monday from North Texas back to Lubbock. Their bodies were taken to Fort Worth for autopsies. They were both killed working a crash in north Lubbock Saturday morning.

Various police, fire and EMS departments along the way stopped to salute these men.

Here is the procession arriving at the Lubbock County Medical Examiner's Office in south Lubbock:

This was the procession earlier through Slaton.

"We are a family and I think that we would not have to ask others to do the same for us in the city of Fort Worth," said Chief James Davis, Fort Worth Fire Department.

And here is part of the procession in North Texas, provided by FOX 4. You'll want to turn sound down, to avoid static from the feed.

Ofc. Reyna's patrol unit has been placed at the corner of 10th Street and Texas Avenue as a memorial. Police encourage flowers or other commemorations to be placed there. Lubbock Fire Rescue has asked any memorials or commemorations in Lt. Hill's honor be placed at the Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial at 66th and Quaker Ave.

A large crowd gathered Sunday morning for the departure from the ME's office. Watch our report here.
