UPDATE: Woman arrested in connection to drive-by shooting on Friday
Update from the Lubbock Police Department:
A woman was arrested Monday in connection to a drive-by shooting that injured a six-year-old boy.
Dezarey Ramos, 22, is charged with aggravated assault. Investigators report Ramos admitted to planning the drive-by shooting and driving the car.
Ramos and a male suspect drove to the house where he fired shots while riding in the passenger seat of the car.
Investigators report Ramos trafficked marijuana and methamphetamine.
She's held on a $500,000 bond.
Police responded to reports of shots fired near 38th street and Wayne Ave. Friday evening.
Police report a 6-year-old boy had been shot. The victim and three other family members were in the home when the suspect fired a weapon through the front living room window striking the child and his grandmother, according to the police report.
The child was taken to UMC where he remains in critical condition. The grandmother suffered a minor injury and was treated and released on scene by EMS.
