A man shot late Saturday night in southeast Lubbock died at the hospital. The accused shooter is jailed on a murder charge. 
Lubbock Police and Texas Anti-Gang investigators were called to a shots fired report near I-27 and 75th Street. They found George “Thomas” Garcia Jr., 36, wounded. Paramedics took him to the hospital, where he died. 
Detectives quickly identified Adrian R. Castillo, 34, as the shooter, according to LPD. He was arrested Sunday morning, about eight hours after the shooting. 
Castillo’s bond on the murder charge is $200,000. As of mid-day Sunday, he was held at the Lubbock County Detention Center.
