Lubbock State Representative Dustin Burrows has another accolade for his work on property tax reform.

The Tax Assessor Collector Association of Texas honored him with the Legislative Leadership Award. It celebrates his work as the chairman of the House Ways and Means committee.

Burrows said a lot of work went into making this a historic year for Texas taxpayers.

The tax collectors also praised his work on smaller measures, streamlining the process for collecting fees.
