From New Mexico State Police: 

On September 20, at about 2:19 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a single vehicle fatal rollover crash on Interstate 10, near milepost 101, east of Deming, NM.

Investigators report a 2003 Jeep, driven by Robert Newell, 76, of Deming, NM was traveling west on Interstate 10. For unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway and rolled.  The driver, Newell was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. Newell was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator. 

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash and seatbelts appear to have not been properly used.  No additional information is available.
