Police seek woman, among three suspects wanted for Slaton man's murder
Lubbock Police are asking for information on a woman who is among three people wanted for murder in the death of a 79-year-old Slaton man who prompted a weeks-long search.
Police are looking for Heather Casias, pictured. She is 32 years old, 5' tall, 180lbs with dark hair.
Investigators have murder warrants for Casias, Brett Garza and David Wayne Hampton. Garza and Hampton are already in custody, arrested on other charges related to Celestino Rodriguez's disappearance and death.
Rodriguez was reported missing two weeks ago. His body was discovered in a field northwest of Lubbock Thursday; Friday investigators confirmed his identity.
Hampton, 54, was arrested in Abilene Thursday afternoon. Garza, 33, was arrested after he was tracked to a house in Lubbock Wednesday night. They were both initially charged with debit card abuse of an elderly person, each held on $75,000 bond. Investigators say they used Rodriguez's card several times, totaling more than $1,000.
Toby Daughtry, 39, was arrested northeast of Austin Wednesday. Police say he told them he ditched Rodriguez's car when he saw a Silver Alert for it. A warrant shows he told a witness he got a car in his back yard from Hampton.
A warrant shows Daughtry told a witness he worked with Amanda Blagburn, 33, to get rid of the car, then told police Blagburn wiped the card down to get rid of fingerprints.
Daughtry and Blagburn are both charged with driving a stolen vehicle.
