We are looking to the north this morning as showers and storms push into our area. Some of this has been severe in eastern New Mexico. Current Radar below:

TODAY: Models show this activity diminishing as it moved into our area, but models haven't been good with these storms this morning. So there is a chance for this to push in our area bringing some rainfall. If it doesn't hold together we will have more cloud cover through this morning. Becoming mostly sunny this afternoon with the high near 92. Northeast wind changing east and a little breeze 10-18mph.

TONIGHT: This evening into the early morning hours of Thursday we will have another slight chance for some showers and storms. The better chance for this looks to be west near the TX/NM border, but can't rule out some activity in the central South Plains. Low near 68 with the wind returning more southeasterly 5-15mph.

THURSDAY: Another chance for some storms late in the day and into early Friday. Otherwise partly sunny with the high climbing a few degrees back to the mid 90s.

EXTENDED: There might be another chance for rain late Friday into early Saturday. Hotter and drier as we get into the weekend and next week with highs returning to 100s.

Have a great Wednesday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
