Two men are wanted in connection to a man's disappearance from Slaton. Special investigators originally listed them as "persons of interest," but issued the felony warrants Saturday afternoon. There's a $2,000 reward for information that can lead to their arrest.

Brett Garza, 33, and David Hampton, 54, are wanted for credit/debit card abuse of an elderly individual.

Garza is white, 6'0", 205 lbs. Hampton is white, 5'5", 140 lbs. Police report they both live and work in the Lubbock area.

Carlos Rodriguez, 79, was reported missing a week ago. Investigators report Garza and Hampton used Rodriguez's debit card several times at different businesses in Lubbock; that's what prompted special investigators to charge them for fraudulent activity.

Slaton police turned the case over to the Texas Rangers and Lubbock's special investigators earlier this week. Investigators found Rodriguez's vehicle in Central Texas, unoccupied in Temple. Detectives now call Rodriguez's disappearance "suspicious."
