Two men indicted accused of threatening a man over money
Lubbock grand jurors have indicted two men accused of attacking, torturing, robbing and threatening to kill a man over $800.
Brandon Austin, 27 and Jordan Cranmer, 26, were indicted for aggravated robbery. Court records show they attacked Silas Robison in Austin's apartment, demanded the money and threatened to kill him.
Police report the two men then bound the victim to a folding chair, tired tying him up with bungee cords and beat him for more than an hour.
Austin's girlfriend burst into the room suspecting Austin had been cheating on her and told police she saw the victim beaten in the chair.
Austin and Cranmer then reportedly took the two suspects to get money, even calling his mother to try getting more. She called the cops, but had a wrong address.
Police report Robinson finally escaped when Cranmer turned on the other suspect, Austin, and restrained him allowing the victim to leave.
The girlfriend wasn't hurt and isn't pressing charges.
Both men are held on a $100,000 bonds.
