Former Idalou officer indicted for threatening to kill suspects
Lubbock grand jurors indicted a former Idalou police officer for threatening to kill suspects.
Miguel Guerrero Jr. will have to cut a deal or face trial on a charge of aggravated assault by a public servant.
The Texas Rangers pushed for the indictment. Court records indicate Guerrero threatened to put a gun in a victim's mouth and blow his head off.
Investigators report the two men showed up at Guerrero's home last August. Guerrero was dating one victim's girlfriend at the time.
An audio transcript in Guerrero's arrest warrant shows detectives heard Guerrero pull out his gun, force both men to the ground and put his weapon in their faces.
The transcript shows Guerrero repeatedly threatened to harm or kill the victims.
Guerrero has bonded out of jail.
