Scoggin-Dickey is celebrating 90 years of service in West Texas. It's the oldest family owned and operated GM dealership in Lubbock. Founded in 1929 and passed down four generations, the catalyst for the company's relevance is family.

"Our great-grandfather started the dealership and our own grandfather, John Scoggin, was obviously here when we were growing up," Vice President of Scoggin Dickey Jackie Odom said.

Odom said the foundation of the company over the years has been community engagement.

"That was something growing up that we all did. Our father was and is still very involved in the community," Odom said.

The company's growth has been parallel with technology developments, and those resources have been instrumental.

"The internet has caused a proliferation and it's not just in the new and used vehicle business but it's also in the service and parts business," owner John Zwiacher said.

The fourth generation believes its past success has paved the way to expedite community engagement and growth for years to come.
