UPDATE: 1 killed in crash on North I-27 Sunday
Lubbock Police Department:
Just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Lubbock police officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 7800 block of North I-27, just south of Keuka Street.
Investigators report an SUV was traveling northbound on I-27 and veered into the center median. The SUV then veered to right, flipped and came to a stop on the northbound guardrail.
The driver, 37-year-old Megan Green, was ejected from the SUV and taken to the hospital where she later died. The female passenger had moderate injuries and was taken by EMS to the hospital. She has since been released.
First responders are working a crash in the 7800 block of North I-27.
Police report at least one person has serious injuries and another is trapped inside the vehicle.
Avoid the area is possible.
