It all started during my grade school years. I would head to my bedroom carrying the sports section from the St. Louis Post Dispatch and narrate stories from the paper into my old tape recorder. Despite the frequent sniffs, pauses and paper shuffling, I’m sure I was very proud of my homemade sportscasts.
Several years later, after graduating from Bradley University, I landed my first official TV job in Rockford, IL. I was the number three sports guy, doing everything I could to advance my career. The call then came from Jefferson City, MO to be their weekend sports anchor. I jumped at the opportunity to move closer to home and cover the Missouri Tigers. During my tenure in Mid-Missouri, which also included a stint at the ABC affiliate in Columbia, I was able to cover the St. Louis Rams at Super Bowl 34 and was on the field for Mizzou’s heart-breaking loss against Nebraska in ‘97.
After living in St. Louis for the last several years, trying out many different professions I am very excited and happy to be in West Texas, covering the Red Raiders. I also love the opportunity and challenge of telling a good story. If you have any ideas please feel free to contact me.
