There are three productions telling familiar stories but in unexpected ways this weekend: Lubbock Christian University performs "The Cotton Patch Gospel," which sets the Bible book of Matthew to blue grass music in Georgia, the CATS Playhouse has "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" with a cast of mostly kids, and Lubbock Moonlight Musicals has a musical history lesson with "1776."
