We did not see as many clouds today as we did yesterday so with the added sunshine our temperatures were a little warmer this afternoon. Below is a look at some of the morning lows and afternoon highs from today.

We missed out on any rain today and for the most part it looks like we will stay dry for the next week. There is a very slight chance for a few brief showers to form in the afternoon heat around the state line over the next couple of days, but even that chance is very low.

Temperatures will get a little warmer to end out the week with highs in the upper 90s and 100s. Lubbock still has not warmed to 100° this year. This will likely continue with high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s while any triple digits will most likely be held across the Rolling Plains and eastern New Mexico. Next week temperatures should come down by a few degrees, with highs in the mid 90s versus upper 90s, but other than that, no major changes are expected over the next seven days.

I hope you had a great day! I will step you through the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Matt will have a complete updated forecast for you tomorrow morning.
