It was another sunny and hot day with temperatures right around average both this morning and afternoon. Below is a look at some of the morning lows and afternoon highs from today.

An upper-level high pressure system will float right around Texas and the deep south the rest of the week. This system will be strong enough to keep the entire state under a clear sky as well as keeping the temperatures hot. Storms will continue to form across New Mexico each afternoon and could get close to the state line in the evening, but should stay to the west of us across the South Plains. Overall this looks to be the trend going into the beginning of next week.

I hope you had a great day and were able to stay cool! I will step you through the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Christopher will have a complete updated forecast for you tomorrow morning.
