Shania joined KCBD as a multimedia journalist in July of 2022. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in journalism from Texas Tech College of Media & Communication in August of 2022.
Her passion for sharing stories and serving her community led her to become a journalist.
After a few months at KCBD, Shania decided to put a story together for Hurricane Ian. In the course of this, she discovered a passion for all things weather, specifically, weather forecasting.
As of January 2023, she is taking online meteorology courses through the Penn State Weather Forecasting Undergraduate Certificate Program, working toward her goal of becoming a meteorologist.
She has lived in Lubbock since 2018 and is excited to be serving and reporting to the Lubbock community. Shania has wanted to work in news her entire life, and she is excited to see what the Hub City has in store for her.
