James Eppler

James Eppler is the managing editor and anchor of "Good Day Lubbock." A Lubbock native, he is a Texas Tech graduate with a master's degree in communications.

His award-winning career in Lubbock media has spanned more than 20 years, starting at the Texas Tech newspaper. He joined FOX34 in October 2007.

Along with managing and anchoring a weekday newscast, he teaches journalism and visual storytelling classes at Texas Tech's College of Media and Communication.

James also serves on the City Council-appointed Civic Lubbock, Inc. Board of Directors and is the chairman of its Entertainment Lubbock and West Texas Walk of Fame committees.

He married his high school sweetheart, Lori, who is a CPA.
