Collin was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, and the wild Texas weather left him with a permanent fascination with the atmosphere.
He attended the University of Oklahoma in August 2018 and graduated with a BS in meteorology and a minor in broadcast meteorology from OU in December 2022.
He joined KCBD's weather team in January of 2023.
