1 dead after agg. assault in 2800 block of 37th Street
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Another person has been arrested in connection with a deadly assault that happened in Central Lubbock on Sunday morning.
Police responded to an EMS call to the 2800 block of 37th Street at about 9:45 a.m. Sunday morning, where they found 59-year-old Rodolfo Zuniga with serious injuries. He was taken to UMC, where he later died.
Sammy Vidales, 45, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after an investigation conducted by Lubbock police and the Texas Anti-Gang Center. Investigators said Zuniga and Vidales physically fought the day before, resulting in Zuniga’s injuries.
35-year-old Garrardo Delossantos II was taken into custody on Tuesday, Sept. 13, charged with Failing to Report a Felony where Serious Bodily Injury or Death Results.

The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
