LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Red Raiders snatched victory from the jaws of defeat on Saturday, pulling out a 33-30 two overtime win over No. 25 Houston at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The Red Raiders had a 17-3 halftime lead with two touchdown passes from Donovan Smith to Nehemiah Martinez and Myles Price.

Houston stormed back in the second half to take a 20-17 lead with 37 seconds left.

Texas Tech moved the ball to give Trey Wolff a 47 yard field goal attempt, which he made to tie the game at 20 and force overtime.

Houston opted to take the ball first in OT and they scored to go up 27-20.

Texas Tech went backwards and had 4th and 20 from Houston’s 35. Smith found Jerand Bradley for a huge first down to keep hope alive.

Tahj Brooks touchdown run tied the game at 27.

To the second overtime, Houston settled for a field goal to go up 30-27.

Donovan Smith, who threw three interception in the game, kept battling and his 9 yard touchdown run gave Tech the 33-30 win.

Texas Tech moves to 2-0. They visit No. 18 North Carolina State 6pm next Saturday.
