2 dogs killed, 1 juvenile injured in West Lubbock house fire

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - An accidental cooking fire in West Lubbock Tuesday afternoon injured one person and killed two dogs, according to officials with Lubbock Fire Rescue.
The fire was reported at 12:46 p.m. in the 6400 block of 38th Street, near Milwaukee Avenue. Neighbors saw smoke coming from the residence and called 911.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly and keep it contained to the kitchen, but one juvenile was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Two adults and two juveniles have been displaced.
Firefighters performed CPR on two dogs at the home but were not able to revive them.
The Lubbock Fire Marshal has classified the fire as accidental.
