LAMESA, Texas (KJTV) - In 2009, a $14 million facility opened in Lamesa. The Medical Arts Hospital is consider the “hub” of healthcare in its service area covering more than 83,000 residents.

The hospital boasts 70,000 square feet, with an increased focus on the day-to-day healthcare of its residents.

The Outpatient and Emergency services were built not only to accommodate the current needs, but also to look to the future and be prepared to handle that growth.

The closest medical facilities are 60 miles away, increasing the life saving components of the Medical Arts Hospital.

The facility has 22 beds that provide acute care, swing bed and surgical services. The Emergency Room is a certified level 4 facility from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

There’s also a Medical Arts Specialty Annex. Its goal is to bring quality specialists from surrounding clinics right to its residents. This eliminates the need to travel, allowing residents to concentrate instead on their health.

The Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa is serving residents now, but looking to improve each year as they continue to meet the healthcare needs of the area.
