SWAT called to Central Lubbock home after teen seriously injured in shooting, 1 arrested

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A 19-year-old was arrested Wednesday after SWAT responded to a shooting at a Central Lubbock home.

Officers responded to a shots fired call just before 2 p.m. near 45th and University. While en route officers were told a 17-year-old male was taken to Covenant Medical Center with serious injuries.

Investigators found 19-year-old Aldan Sarabia at a home near 48th and Akron. SWAT and K9 were called to assist. Sarabia was found in the basement where was taken into custody around 8 p.m.

Sarabia is charged with aggravated assault.
