LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) - No. 12 Texas Tech is set to host its final home game of the season and looks to salvage a season split against Kansas State in an 8 p.m. Big 12 contest on Monday at the United Supermarkets Arena.

The Red Raiders (22-7, 11-5 Big 12) are 17-0 at home this season but are coming off a 69-66 loss at TCU on Saturday, while the Wildcats (14-14, 6-10 Big 12) dropped their third straight game with a 74-73 home loss to Iowa State over the weekend. Tech has not lost back-to-back Big 12 games all season, including responding after a 62-51 loss against KSU back on January 15 in Manhattan, Kansas in the first matchup between the two teams. TTU was on a four-game winning streak before seeing an eight-point lead turn into a three-point loss against the Horned Frogs.

Tech will honor Marcus Santos-Silva, Bryson Williams, Adonis Arms, Davion Warren, and Kevin Obanor before the game along with senior student managers Cade Simmons and Cole Wakefield.  The Red Raiders look to complete a perfect home season where they are 8-0 at home in Big 12 play with wins over Oklahoma, Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, West Virginia, Texas and TCU on their resume. Tech has outscored Big 12 opponents by a 69.2-63.3 margin this season and has held those eight opponents to 39.2 percent shooting.

Tech’s 17-0 record at home this season which is matched only by No. 4 Kentucky nationally. The Wildcats host Mississippi on Tuesday night in their home finale. No. 1 Gonzaga finished its regular season with a 16-0 home record, while No. 2 Arizona (15-0) and No. 19 Murray State (14-0) are also unbeaten at home. The Red Raiders are the only Big 12 team without a loss at home this season. Tech is currently on a 20-game home winning streak dating back to last season where it finished the year with home wins over Texas, TCU and Iowa State and have the second-longest streak behind a 66-game one from Gonzaga. Tech has had 14,000-plus fans in nine of 16 games this season and has recorded sellouts against Mississippi State, Iowa State, Texas and Oklahoma. The program set a new attendance record with 15,300 fans at the February 1 game against the Longhorns.
