Twosday Twins Heading Home 2 Dimmitt
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Tuesday was a big day on the planet. You could even buy a t-shirt to celebrate Twosday, since the date for Tuesday was 2-22-22.
For most of us, that day has come and gone, but not for the Hatla family
in Dimmitt, because this marks a palindrome they will celebrate every year
from now on.
In case you don’t know (and truthfully, I had to look it up) a palindrome
is a word or date that looks the same frontwards and backwards... like BOB.
There are eight palindrome dates in February from the 21st to the 28th.
But this one was the coolest because it was also Tuesday, or Twosday.
It was an even bigger deal for the Hatla family in Dimmitt because they had
Twins, 2 babies on 2-22-22!
Chase Hatla, the proud dad, says “Dimmitt’s a pretty small town. They’ll believe it. They have to.”
Amy, their mom, added, “And they’ll see it on Facebook.”
The twins were born Feb. 22 at 8:30 a.m. Hendrix was first, weighing six pounds, eight ounces. Hayes came soon after at five pounds seven ounces.
Bottom line, soon in Dimmitt, there will be two Hatla boys on the farm with Chase.
But we can’t forget 3 year old Henley, the big sister waiting for them in Dimmitt.
Amy says Henley is very excited to see her little brothers.
After some time off with the newborns, Amy will go back to teaching 5th grade Science in Dimmitt. Ironically, she says she missed teaching a fun lesson on palindromes… with a good excuse.
