78th Annual ABC Rodeo to announce new location Tuesday

LUBBOCK, Texas -

(Press Release)

For more than 77 years, the members of the Lubbock Downtown Chapter of the American Business Clubs have supported and improved lives within the community by working to produce the ABC Pro Rodeo, which is known as one of the most significant western sporting events in the country.

With the location to be announced at the press conference, the 2020 edition of the ABC Pro Rodeo will take place April 2 through April 4.

A press conference announcing a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Lubbock and the temporary location of the ABC Pro Rodeo will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at the Talkington Boys & Girls Club, located at 2603 Kewanee Ave.

Due to the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum and Auditorium being retired, AMBUCS, volunteers and members are thankful for the opportunity to have hosted this event there for decades but are looking forward to new opportunities in our new location. With a chose temporary home for the ABC Pro Rodeo, the AMBUCS mission will remain to always serve the Lubbock Boys & Girls Club and other local charities.

A donation to the Lubbock Boys & Girls Club will be presented for the 77th consecutive year. Over the years, more than $1.5 million has been donated to Lubbock charities and support groups with funds generated through the ABC Pro Rodeo.

The Board of Leadership of the rodeo and AMBUCS will attend and be available for questions.
