Cold front continues pushing though our area this morning. Some showers and storms developed mainly east of Lubbock. This activity will continue pushing southeast bring a few locations some rainfall.
TODAY: Any chance for rain will end this morning as that front continues southward. Behind this front drier air with wind speeds increasing 12-22mph. This wind will drop off this afternoon 10-18mph and change more easterly. Mostly sunny with highs cooler than yesterday in the upper 70s for the northern counties, lower 80s for the rest of us.
TONIGHT: Low near 60 with cloud cover increasing into the early morning hours.
THURSDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy during the day with highs warming a few degrees nearing 84. There will be another shot for some storms some of which could be strong to severe pushing from the northwest late Thursday/early Friday.
FATHERS DAY WEEKEND AND NEXT WEEK: HOT! Highs will be climbing to the mid and upper 90s. Although there will be a low chance for rain some models do keep rain around our area. Some pop up showers and storms in our area might be possible, but a little more cloud cover the better outlook.
Enjoy the "cooler" temperatures today! Matt will have the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
