Pair of unrelated Lubbock crashes puts several in critical condition

A PEDESTRIAN IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER BEING HIT BY A CAR LAST NIGHT. OFFICERS RESPONDED TO CALLS AT LUBBOCK OYSTER BAR ON 34TH WHERE A MAN WAS LYING IN THE PARKING LOT AFTER BEING RUN OVER. THE DRIVER APPARENTLY DIDN'T SEE THE MAN. HE WAS QUICKLY TAKEN TO UMC. HE HAS NOT BEEN IDENTIFIED, AND THE INCIDENT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.

NOT LONG AFTER THAT, JUST DOWN THE STREET AT 34TH AND FLINT, OFFICERS RESPONDED TO ANOTHER CRASH WITH CRITICAL INJURIES. 5 PEOPLE ARE REPORTEDLY INVOLVED IN THE INCIDENT. THE CAUSE OF THE CRASH REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION AND NO ONE INVOLVED HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED.
