LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy revealed its 16 new start-up businesses at a trade show at the South Plains Mall.

Each student spent 30 weeks in this Lubbock Chamber of Commerce program, preparing to own and operate their own business.

Sergey West is a junior at Lubbock High. He developed the Scantron Smart. It's a 3D-printed tool used for Scantron sheets when students are testing.

West says he got the idea when he was taking a test. His goal is to continue creating products that reduce the stress of daily activities.
