Additional claims of abuse at Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch

Posted: Updated:

More former residents of Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch claim they were abused while sheltered there, over a span of 40 years.

The privately funded, faith-based residential home is near Amarillo.

The Guardian ran a story in 2017 stating men who lived there between the 1960s and 1990 claimed they were physically, emotionally or sexually abused on a regular basis. They say they were also subject to medical neglect and labor exploitation.

The Austin-based non-profit, The Child Friendly Faith Project, now reports since the article was published, about 100 men have come forward to discuss their experiences.

Ranch President and CEO Dan Adams says, while he believes the men, he's focusing on current residents and the future.

It's important to note Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch is in the Panhandle. It has no affiliation with or connection to the Texas Boy's Ranch near Lubbock.
