LUBBOCK, Texas -

There are just a few more days of finals to go before it's summer break. If the stress is too much, petting dogs may be a solution.

The Texas Tech Library has therapy dogs from the South Plains Obedience Training Club.

Who doesn't feel better when they're around a cute pup?

"They put a dot on by where their stress level is by whatever smiley face or frowney face," explained Lauren McDonald with the Tech Library User Experience Department. " And then they come back do the same thing when they're leaving so they can assess if the therapy dog have helped alleviate any of their stress."

She says he response has been positive. The dogs will be at the library again from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11.
