LUBBOCK, Texas -

Two brothers are creating visions for Lubbock, literally and figuratively. Highflyers Optics provided glasses to people who can't afford eye exams and lenses with the help of Lubbock Impact.

"Being an optometrist I get to see people get excited about seeing well every single day, and then I know there's people I know that don't get to that opportunity, so I just want to make that available to those people," Garrett Wentz, Optometrist at Highflyer Optics, said.

They did it all in-house, from the exams to lens making. However, their purpose goes beyond 20-20 vision. They want the people they serve to have a vision for the rest of their lives.

"On the inside of the temple it'll have 'what's your vision' and that's kind of our slogan and so we want to be able to get their vision not only for their sight, but every time they put on those glasses, they'll be reminded than just sight, it's a vision for their life," Tucker Wentz, Lens Maker at Highflyer Optics, said.

The Lubbock brothers hope to expand their non-profit eventually. They were able to get it started with the help of Lubbock Impact and grants.
