South Lubbock Habitat Re-store hosts 'Sip and See' event

Posted: Updated:

Lubbock Habitat for Humanity hosted its first "Sip & See" event.

Habitat Re-store provides gently used furniture, appliances and decor, but the store Is in need of donations. Habitat Re-store held "Sip & See" to give the public a look into how unwanted spring cleaning items can create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

"You know that Habitat does great things here in Lubbock for our community, and there's any easy way to get directly involved and you don't have to build a house to do it," Ashley Knox, with Habitat for Humanity, said. "Look around your house, do some spring cleaning, decide what, you know, what you need to make room for and make sure you think of Re-store when you're ready to get it off your hands."

Every item purchased at Habitat Re-store goes towards building homes for families that qualify for the Habitat Program.
