THIS AFTERNOON: It's warmed nicely into the mid 80s with a gusty southwest wind. Tomorrow will look pretty similar.
It sure was nice to get the rain Friday night into Saturday. Western and northwestern parts of our area either missed out or didn't get much rain. But Lubbock and points east did pretty well.
TONIGHT: Mild and breezy, low 54. Wind S 10-20mph.
TOMORROW: High in the mid 80s, mostly sunny. Wind S/SW 12-25mph, averaging about 18-25mph through the afternoon.
NEXT FEW DAYS: A storm system now over the western United States will bring a small chance for a shower or storm here Wednesday. It doesn't look like we'll have much humidity in place and it just doesn't look promising. What is more likely is plenty of wind, SW/W 20-30mph on Wednesday, high in the mid 70s.
Farther east there will likely be a lot of severe weather late Wednesday into early Thursday, most significant risk in orange, which runs from about Austin to just southeast of OKC.
It'll be cooler here Thursday before it gets a lot warmer and breezy this weekend.
Right now computers show some rain first part of next week. It's nothing promising just yet, but we'll watch it for a few days and see if a rain chance should be added to the 7-day.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
