The Texas Tech men's basketball team extended its winning streak to five, defeating Kansas 91-62. Four out of those five wins were by more than 25 points.

The Red Raiders' three point shooting separated them early, they had a 25-point lead at the end of the first half and were 9/15 from beyond the arc (they finished 16/26 from three-point range).

Jarrett Culver led all Red Raiders in scoring with 26 points, and Tech got its first win at home over Kansas since March 4, 2009.

Texas Tech sits at second in the Big 12 (10-4), one game behind Kansas State (11-3). The teams split the season series so Beard's gang will need a little bit of help from the Wildcats' opponents, along with his team taking caring business on the court, to have a chance at the program's first conference title.

Tech returns to action Wednesday night when they host Oklahoma State at 6 p.m.
