DEVELOPING: Snyder police shoot, kill suspect

A suspect is dead following an altercation with police in Snyder.

KTXS in Abilene reports this happened in the 3600 block of Jacksboro Avenue. Snyder Police Chief Brian Haggard confirmed one of his officers shot and killed a suspect. Details on the circumstances were not immediately available. KTXS reports the initial call to police was a suspicious person in the area.

Snyder Police and the Texas DPS are on-scene. The Texas Rangers are on the way, as of 10:20 Thursday night.
