Arrington concerned Democrat control of House will halt progress

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock Congressman Jodey Arrington will continue serving in Congress, drawing about 76% of the vote over Democrat Miguel Levario.

Congressman Arrington says he's worried and confident that a lot of the progress that's been made securing the border, helping veterans and growing the economy will be put to a halt.

He'll be joined by a lot more Democrats this time around, with that party taking control of the House.

"We were delivering on the things that we said that we would do, and America was benefiting. All Americans not just Republicans," Arrington said. "I think that...I'm concerned. I'm concerned about the Farm Bill, for example. We need to get that through.

"Hopefully after the midterms, we won't see the politics that are holding that up and we can see it forward."

U.S. Representative - Texas 19th District
Jodey Arrington (R) 152,012 75.27%
Miguel Levario (D) 49,941 24.72%
