TTUHSC School of Medicine to announce $20 million in research grants

Texas Tech University System Interim Chancellor and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) President Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., TTUHSC Executive Vice President, Provost and School of Medicine Dean Steven Berk, M.D., and TTUHSC Senior Vice President Quentin Smith, Ph.D., will announce more than $20 million in research grants received by School of Medicine faculty.

WHEN: 2 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 13)

WHERE: TTUHSC 2BC lobby, 3601 Fourth St. (second floor lobby outside of administrative suite)

EVENT: The School of Medicine has received more than 20 grants in areas such as cancer, alcoholism, pain management, neuroscience and infectious diseases from the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense among others.

The faculty who received these funds will be present for interviews to discuss their research.
