DPS investigates fatal crash on US 62, northeast of Wellman

DPS worked a fatal crash around 7:30 a.m, 3 miles northeast of Wellman on U.S. 62.

A Chevy passenger car was traveling southeast on FM 303. The driver disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of FM 303 and U.S. 62, traveling southbound across the center median and across the northbound lanes.

The vehicle traveled into the east ditch of U.S. 62 and struck an iron frame tin structure. The vehicle flipped end over end coming to rest in the pasture.

The driver was identified as Marco Antonio Ramirez, 41, and pronounced deceased at scene.
