Legal Aid Society hosts networking event unifying non-profits

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Legal Aid Society hosted a networking event focusing on unifying non-profit organizations in our area.

Volunteers said there are so many organizations in Lubbock that serve much of the same clientele that they felt it was important to help everyone coordinate what they offer.

"It allows the resources-- the limited resources available in our community to almost be two fold or threefold. When multiple agencies work together, they do use the same dollars to help multiple clients or victims in the community," Erica Sisemore, Development Director of Legal Aid Society, said.

In addition to networking in person, Sisemore said the Legal Aid Society is gathering each agency's information digitally and distributing it to all its partners for easy use.
