Look Around Lubbock: Boys and Girls Club

Boys and Girls Club has been in Lubbock since 1940 providing a safe place for boys and girls to spend time in positive and encouraging activities. Ages 6 to 18 can sign up to become a member at one of the four locations. Club will open on the first day of school, August 15, after school. The cost for the entire school year is $10. Kids will receive a hot meal after school and help with their homework.  There are opportunities to sign up for flag football and basketball leagues for 6-12 year old. Clubs are open from 3:00pm-7:00pm Monday through Friday.  

Lubbock Boys & Girls Club will take 50 youth school shopping for clothes for school on August 13. Sponsors are needed in order to make the event happen so each child will have $100 to spend on clothes or uniforms.

The four locations of the Boys and Girls Clubs in Lubbock are:

John Wilson Club- 3221 59th 

Optimist Club- 3301 Cornell  

Ted Phea Club- 801 E. 24th   

Shallowater Club- 1100 Ave. K
