LUBBOCK, Texas -

At around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Lubbock Police received a call of a stabbing that occurred in the area of 39th Street and Ave. N.

A male victim, 32, was taken by ambulance to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

Through the initial investigation it appears a SUV suddenly stopped and two male passengers got out of the vehicle. Officers were told the two men confronted the victim who was in the area and that during the confrontation one of the two men allegedly stabbed the victim. 

The suspects left the scene. No arrests have been made at this time. 

The LPD Domestic Violence Squad will continue to investigate the assault. 


According to the Lubbock Police Department a resident near 39th and Ave. N was stabbed after two men hopped out of an SUV. 

The victim was taken to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The case is still under investigation.
