Look Around Lubbock: Moonlight Musical presents The Music Man

Posted: Updated:

The Moonlight Musicals Amphitheatre presents the family hit-musical, Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man”, sponsored by Lubbock National Bank. Filled with ballads, such as, “Goodnight My Someone”,  and colossal numbers like “The Wells Fargo Wagon”, this is a show for all ages. Last produced by Lubbock Moonlight Musicals in 2008, Prof. Harold Hill, Ms. Marian, and the rest of River City is joining the Amphitheatre stage once again.

Set in the fictional town of River City, Iowa, “The Music Man” centers around Harold Hill, a traveling salesman and phony music professor, who is attempting to unload his wares on the unsuspecting residents of River City before his rivals arrive. Unsuspecting, that is, except for the local music teacher and librarian, Ms. Marian Paroo. Things go according to Prof. Hill’s plan, until he begins to fall for Ms. Mariann, the one woman in town determined to have nothing to do with him.

The theatre location is:

Moonlight Musicals Amphitheatre
413 East Broadway
Lubbock, TX
