LUBBOCK, Texas -

Just some light showers across portions of the South Plains.

A few locations got some good totals from this mornings storms.

Storms across the northern half of the area this morning. These storms are slowly moving to the south-southeast. That is good news because it is dropping some good rain for those receiving it. They have started to diminish a little since 5am.

Temperatures are in the 60s and 70s with a breezy east-northeast wind.

TODAY: High near 93, the storms should diminish during the later morning/ early afternoon hours. Mostly sunny afterwards with a southeast wind 10-18mph. A few afternoon storms may be possible but overall we should stay dry.

TONIGHT: Low near 70, mostly clear sky.

EXTENDED: Staying mild and dry for the rest of the week. Rain chance returning Sunday and continuing next week from gulf moisture and remnants of Hurricane Bud. Temperatures will continue to stay around average if not below in the upper 80s.

Join us on Good Day until 9. Matt returns tonight for the News at Nine. Have a great Wednesday!
