Anthony is the executive producer for FOX34 News and the weeknight producer for the News @ Nine.
Tony grew up in Gatesville in Central Texas, near Waco and Killeen, and spent two years at Temple Junior College studying communication before transferring to Texas Tech in 2009. He graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a double-minor in political science and legal studies.
While at Tech, he started in radio at KTXT “The Raider” 88.1 FM, providing news content for its website and over-the-air programming and hosting “The Devil’s Advocate, a weekly political news/satire program with a professor and several colleagues. In his senior year, he joined The HUB, the university’s digital news platform providing enterprise reporting and in-depth coverage of Tech’s Student Government Association during a particularly controversial (at the college level) year.
Tony joined FOX34 as a floor manager in its news production department, spending eight months training on the back-end of news programming and learning how to direct and the intricacies of TV production. He moved to Good Day Lubbock in January 2014 to produce, then moved to the News @ Nine in July.
A long-time scholar of politics and the law, Tony specializes in civic engagement, policy analysis, and the American legal process at all levels. He’s the proud “dad” of two cats, a casual gamer (both video and tabletop), and is engaged to a 3D environmental artist (opposites attract).
