LUBBOCK, Texas -

A 22-year-old man was arrested for DWI after slamming into a home Friday night.

In a police report, witnesses said the man was traveling down 40th St. at a high rate of speed, when he tried to turn onto Ave. T and lost control of his vehicle.

He then crashed through a iron and brick fence, and ran into a house at 40th and Ave T.

Police arrested Christian Antonio Diaz for driving while intoxicated.

The report states Diaz was "leaning out of the side" of a patrol Tahoe and vomiting. The officer stated his speech was "very slurred" and he "could not focus on the questions." He said the suspect was interrupting and asking to call his wife, was "very confrontational" and "had trouble staying awake and had to be woken up."

The suspect refused to do a field sobriety test, and a blood test.

Diaz was taken to UMC for a blood draw.

On the way to UMC, police report Diaz "became aggressive and belligerent," while kicking and banging his head on the prisoner shield. Police had to put him in leg restraints at that point.

Diaz was booked on a bond of $1,500. He has since bonded out.
