LPD Tahoe involved in multi-vehicle crash Saturday evening

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening, a multi-vehicle crash occurred at 19th Street and Frankford Avenue.

Based on preliminary information, it appears a Dodge Caravan traveling east on 19th Street attempted to turn north onto Frankford and struck a LPD Tahoe traveling westbound on 19th Street.

As a result of the initial crash, a SUV stopped at the southbound red light on Frankford was also struck.

The two occupants of the van and the two occupants of the SUV were transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.  The officer was transported to  the hospital with minor injuries.
