LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock Area Square and Round Dance Federation will host a Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers dance at the Lubbock Area Square and Round Dance Federation Dance Center, 2305 120th Street, (University & 120th Street) Lubbock, from 7:15 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., April 14, 2018.

Square dancing is a clean, family oriented, alcohol and smoke free, FUN activity and entertainment for all ages from early teens to nonagenarian. Yes sir!! We have square dancers in their 90’s square and round dancing. How awesome!!! “Square dancing keeps everyone young at heart”. You can travel from far East to far West, and from North to South in our part of the “country” to find square dancing events, meet new dancers, and make the best of friends.

You will have the opportunity to meet the President of Texas Camping Squares, Preston and Carolyn Smith. Also, officers from the Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers, President, Nora Creed-McClaskey, Vice President, Preston and Carolyn Smith, Treasurer, Keith and Kathie Malone, and Secretary EW and Alta Sweeney, and many other officers from all over Texas will be there.

There is free admission for non-square dancers, and square dance lessons are offered. We also provide clogging and round dance lessons (round dancing is a ballroom type of dance with you and your spouse). If you are interested in learning how to do any of these dances, please contact, with the Lubbock Area President or any other square dancer at the dance.
